Adult Day Support Services
Murray Ridge Center provides eligible participants with a variety of services and supports to enhance quality of life and promote individual self-determination. Our services include:
· School to Work Transition
· Nursing assistance with medication administration, health monitoring and supports
· Speech and swallowing evaluations, language and communication therapy, and training in augmentative communication devices by our licensed Speech Therapists
· Physical and occupational therapy and evaluations and sensory integration services by our licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists
· Music therapy by a licensed Musical Therapist
· Young at Heart community-based seniors program
· Adaptive technology assessment and development for vocational, self-care, communication and other identified needs
· Day and evening community integration outings, physical fitness and Special Olympics
· Supportive Home Services for medically fragile individuals unable to attend day program
Our trained, certified staff provide assistance with:
· Interpersonal and social skills development, Safety in the Community and Life Facts training
· Abuse, Violence Educational Recognition Training (AVERT) A collaborative program with Genesis House
· Behavioral adjustment and intervention with Behavior Support Plans
· Self care, feeding, positioning, ambulation, mobility, communication and use of adaptive equipment and technology
· Arts and craft projects, music and art appreciation, and a variety of no-or-low cost leisure and recreational activities such as movies, games, coloring, karoake, dancing, dress-up days, bowling, swimming, aerobics, arm chair travel and the Murray Ridge Bell Choir
· Functional academics and computer training
