About Murray Ridge

For more than 40 years, the Lorain County Board of Developmental Disabilities, more commonly known as Murray Ridge Center, has been providing lifelong services for Lorain County citizens with developmental disabilities. Our broad range of services and supports assist more than 2,000 individuals and their families annually. Murray Ridge Center has facilities throughout Lorain County. The Administrative offices, Community Employment offices, Murray Ridge School, Service & Support Administration offices and a Work/Activity Center are located in Elyria. Two more Work/Activity Centers are located in Lorain and Oberlin. In addition, the Murray Ridge Center operates six residential homes in the cities of Elyria, Grafton, Lorain and Oberlin. All our efforts may be summed up in two words: "Helping people," and we never forget that it is both our duty and our privilege to fulfill our mission every day.
